Meet The Wedding Party

The Bridesmaids

Maid of Honor
Katie Matthews

Michele and I officially met and were friends in preschool, but didn’t realize we had been friends early on until high school. Once our moms recognized each other and told us we had known each other since preschool, we became fast friends and have stayed close ever since. We have supported each other through many major milestones, and I can’t wait to stand by Michele’s side on the best day of her life, watching her marry her soulmate.

To sum up our history in a single paragraph is a difficult task, for Michele and I share a lifetime of memories, all of them warm, most of them silly. We spent our earliest years running around in the yard, creating clubs or reasons to meet in our secret base. We ensured our Beanie Babies received an excellent education courtesy of our teaching skills and our Mom’s extra worksheets and school supplies. Our creativity knew no bounds as we drew roads and storefronts for our bikes in driveway chalk or invented new games to play with anything at our disposal (base-to-base basketball was one of our favorites). Ceramics, dance, painting, drawing, needlepoint, crochet, sports, acting—we tried it all and so much more. And always, there was laughter—tittering at changing the channel to Oobie or Barney to see how our parents would react when they noticed; giggling when trying on ugly shirts adorned with pompoms at Walmart; guffawing after lobbying sarcastic quips at each other in a restaurant. Knowing Michele is a gift. Calling her my younger sister is a boon beyond measure. I am honored to witness this next chapter in her life, one filled with love and happiness.

I met Michele at Ball State University is 2012.  We met through mutual friends who were in the Dance department.  We immediately had a friendship. 😊  We talked about dance, and even took some dance classes together!  We ended up spending lots of time together, and even visited each other’s homes.  We also frequently watched Pitch Perfect and quoted it all the time.

We visited Lake Geneva back in 2013 and remember being shocked by the price of the $3,000 coat!  We have had many other adventures since then, including a couple trips to Chicago, and Michele visiting me (as a surprise) in Indianapolis!

It’s always very special, when we get to spend time together.  I’m so honored to be part of her big day! ❤️

Michele is my oldest friend, having met her 23 years ago when her mom was my 5th grade teacher! We’ve basically grown up together and ended up living with each other for a few years in our 20s. We’ve had so many fun experiences together! She’s a great friend and I’m excited to stand next to her on her big day!

Bridesmaid
Andi Vendette

Hi everyone! I’m Andi– Michele’s soon-to-be sister-in-law and the proud mom of the adorable little ring bearer!

The first time I met Michele was at a brewery where she was hanging out with Justin  and a few of his friends. From that day on, it was clear that Michele was the one that Justin saw his future with. Since that day, we’ve shared holidays, birthday celebrations, and sunny pool days with family. I am excited to stand by your side as you and Justin begin this next chapter together. Cheers to the Vendette’s!

The Groomsmen

Best Men
John & Jensen Vendette

As brothers, I couldn’t picture anyone else taking the honor to be my two best men at the wedding. We’ve grown up together playing Cars and Police, we’ve experienced hilarious memories, accomplishments, and feel like we’re twisted together as one person at times.

Having John and Jensen by my side as I marry Michele was the easiest choice along side the choice of choosing to marry Michele in the first place.

We go everywhere and do everything together, including making August 22nd another special day.

Groomsman
Nick Schneider

Nick is one of my longest lasting friendships. We met all the way back in College where Nick sat behind me and another guy and he asked me if he could have a free software product that I was talking about. From there, we became incredibly close.

From Nick passing both of us in Weather class, to constant phone call check-ins, to myself also standing up in his Wedding for his special day, having Nick along my side had to be a must have.

Nick and his Wife were my photographers for the day that I proposed to Michele. As Michele and Bailey walked in front of Nick and I, I turned to Nick and said “Yeah, we did well”.

Groomsman
Jerrod La Vassor

Jerrod and I have been friends for 10 years now and we’ve done a lot together in that time. From house projects, to drinks at Eagle Park, or the countless games we enjoy playing, Jerrod and I maintain a strong friendship.

Jerrod was the one who got me into my now salt water fish hobby and even helped get more of a tech home lab setup.

THE FACTORY MUST GROW

Groomsman
Shawn O'Dell

Shawn and I met back at our old job, BuySeasons, where Shawn would help mentor some fairly impressive tech into my head while also being a fun guy to be around and hang out with.

Over the years, our friendship grew and I could always count on Shawn and his Wife, Kam, to hang out at any bar you could imagine. Including some fun concert nights.

Shawn and Kam became close to Michele and I through more hanging out events and are two caring individuals apart of both of our lives.
